What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural, focused state of awareness where your body is deeply relaxed, and your mind becomes more open and receptive to suggestions that support your healing, growth, or transformation. You’re not asleep, unconscious, or under anyone’s control — you’re still aware, just in a more inward-focused state.

Will I lose control or be made to do something embarrassing?

No. This is one of the biggest myths about hypnosis. You’re always in control. You cannot be made to do or say anything against your values or will. In fact, the process works best when you feel safe, empowered, and collaborative.

Can everyone be hypnotized?

Most people can enter a light to medium hypnotic state — enough to benefit from a session. If you’re open, curious, and willing to relax into the experience, you’ll likely do just fine. I tailor each session to your unique responsiveness and needs.

What does hypnosis feel like?

Most people describe it as a state of deep relaxation, like being very calm but mentally alert — similar to that dreamy place right before falling asleep or waking up. You might feel like you're floating, like time is moving differently, or like you’re in a meditative zone.

Will I remember what happened?

Usually, yes. You’re not unconscious, so you’ll typically remember most or all of the session. Some people feel like they’re remembering a vivid daydream, while others recall everything word-for-word. You’re welcome to take notes afterward or request a recording if one is offered.

That’s rare, but I get the concern. If you’ve got a strong analytical mind or anxiety around “doing it right,” I’ll guide you gently and adjust the approach as needed. I have tools to help you relax into the experience, and most clients are surprised by how naturally it flows.

What’s the purpose of exploring a past life?

The goal isn’t just curiosity — it’s insight. The past life that comes forward is often one that mirrors or informs challenges you're facing today. Will I relive trauma?
