New Moon in Leo: Drop Intro Your Heart

The Leo New Moon is here and Leo energy is looming large in our astrology. Leo is brave, generous, and full of heart. During Pam Gregory, a renowned English astrologer, New Moon in Leo Youtube update, she imparted some very interesting information regarding the heart and how it pertains to this New Moon.

She advocates practicing dropping into your heart during meditation and allowing your “breath to breathe you.” When doing this, she advises emitting joy, love, gratitude, and peace through your heart center to the world. We all could use a little love and positivity in our lives, right? This is a powerful practice that science can actually back up.

According to the HeartMath Institute, “the heart’s magnetic field, which is the strongest rhythmic field produced by the human body, not only envelops every cell of the body but also extends out in all directions into the space around us. The heart’s magnetic field can be measured several feet away from the body by sensitive magnetometers.”

Some have gone as far as to say that the electromagnetic field of the heart is 5000 times greater than that of the brain. Dr. J. Andrew Armour introduced the term, "heart brain," in 1991. Armour showed that the heart’s complex nervous system qualified it as a "little brain."

Research explains how the physical and energetic heart plays an extraordinary role in our lives, and our heart rhythms affect the brain’s ability to process information. The heart has 40,000 sensory neurons involved in relaying information to the brain.

The heart has a system of neurons that have both short- and long-term memory, and the signals they send to the brain can affect our emotional experiences.

The heart sends more information to the brain than the brain sends to the heart.

So our hearts have so much power over our lives! Focusing on positive emotions can increase the brain’s ability to make good decisions, boost your immune system, and aid in creating physiological benefits in your body.

So today, with this New Moon in Leo energy, take a few minutes out of your day to practice feeling the power of your heart. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and focus your attention on your heart center. Notice the palpitations, and breathe into your heart. Begin to visualize your electromagnetic field with a color. Allow it to expand with thoughts of joy, love, peace, and gratitude. Even if only done for a few minutes, there is no doubt that you will feel the power of your heart and possibly harness the essence of this Leo New Moon.
